Linger Cover LargeIn Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other.  Now, in Linger, they must fight to be together. For Grace, this means defying her parents and keeping a very dangerous secret about her own well-being. For Sam, this means grappling with his werewolf past . . . and figuring out a way to survive into the future. Add into the mix a new wolf named Cole, whose own past has the potential to destroy the whole pack.  And Isabelle, who already lost her brother to the wolves . . . and is nonetheless drawn to Cole.

At turns harrowing and euphoric, Linger is a spellbinding love story that explores both sides of love -- the light and the dark, the warm and the cold -- in a way you will never forget.

Comes out in stores everywhere July 20th. Pre-order here.

My hair :D

So I thought I would do a quick post about my hair. My dear friend in IN has gorgeous long hair. We got to talking about it as I am trying to grow my hair out again. That's when she introduced me to the wonderful community LongHair. I gotta tell ya, I'm seriously jealous. While I am still doing my own research on a lot of the stuff these ladies (and some gentlemen) talk about like -cones & Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfates I am also looking into some of their tips and tricks for not only managing hair styles, but their hair care routines as well.

I have medium thickness, oily, straight hair. I am studying the coconut oil and jojoba oil treatments so many of these women recommend. I think I may find that I don't need these products yet as my tips are still quite healthy. But, enough talk. Here are some photos!

This is how long it was 3 days after my wedding when I was getting it cut to donate.

This is me with my hair donation. I did not realize until later just how short she took it. I didn't want it that short and was quite upset (to the point of tears.)

Fast forward 13 months and this is what it looks like now. I am hoping to get it to my waist within a few years. Hopefully I will have some learned some great new styles to try by then.

WTF Twitter

So could someone please explain the stupidity that is Twitter to me? I just don't get it. So many people "Tweeting" inane information that no one really cares about. Why?! Is our society that technological that we have to know the INSTANT something "unique" or "cool" or "everyday" happens? I refuse to get a Twitter account and I don't understand it's point.

/rant over.

I'm very crafty

So since my teen craft night went the way of the dodo due to lack of sign-ups, I've decided to change up my normal programs. I think I am going to start offering adult events and the only teen events I will do during the year will be the ones that involve community service hours as those seem to be the only ones kids actually show up to. :/

I will hopefully be doing an eco-craft night sometime after the new year. We'll be making some pretty nifty stuff from a great book that we just got in the library. Some bowls from paper pulp, other bowls from paper mache, decorated glass bottle bud vases, and/or more. It just depends on what supplies I can gather up since we have to supply the materials.

I'm kind of excited for this new branch. Maybe I can get the adults to come. If not, I may give up on programming in general except for the summers.
